Rochester A-List
Have you signed up for Rochester A-List?
If you haven't, you better because you're missing out insider information, exclusive perks, invitations, and VIP options for restaurants, fashion, beauty, events and entertainment. When you sign up for A-List's e-mails, you'll always be in the know about what's happening in Rochester. They send out periodic emails about what’s hot, what’s cool and where A-Listers are spending their time and spending their money: restaurant openings, spas, events, places to kick back or wind up- all with exclusive A-List perks. Liking them on Facebook isn't enough - you have to be on The List.
As the A-List fashion and beauty blogger, I'll be hitting up the best spas in Rochester and trying out some of their most popular treatments for beating the winter blues and saving your skin from dry air and frigid temperatures. You'll want to be sure to be an A-List subscriber so that you can take advantage of the A-lister perks, deals, and gift certificate giveaways for all the spas and salons I visit over the next three months. First on the list: Allora Salon and Spa in Victor, NY.
What are you waiting for? Subscribe to A-list - you don't miss a single thing...especially not a free trip to the spa!
xoxo

Greentopia Fashion Show
Have you heard about what's happening at Greentopia Saturday night?
From the Ground: The Next Green Season Fashion Show celebrates fashion couture at its greenest.
From the Ground has woven together ecology, society, and culture to showcase, support, inspire, and highlight the re-creation of innovative approaches to sustainably responsible fashion!

The event is this Saturday September 15th, 2012 from 5:30-9:30 pm at 61 Commercial Street @ Browns Race (Next to Stantec).
Here is what you can expect:
Pre-Party Festivities for sponsors and VIP guests:5:30 p.m.-7p.m. $40.00 (tickets may be purchased at the door)
VIP “Furnished Green” lounge includes:
Digital Step and Repeat
Recycled seating
“Green” Hors d’ oeuvres and signature eco-fashion drinks will provided by Rochester’s newest eatery Benedettos

The Green Season’s position is to create economic and social impact in fashion through sustainable design and respect for the environment. This show takes an inventive step forward to reduce our carbon footprint one runway at a time.
Local/Western NY designers, boutique owners, and fashion design students will be showcasing innovative design and unconventional garments stemmed from eco-friendly materials to an audience ready to Live Local & Grow Global. Everything from paper dresses to up-cycled garments to organic materials will be parading the “turf-walk” at this year’s show.
Showcasing designers:
Even Odd
Melissa Murphy
Siro’s Fashion in Design
The winners of the Single Origin Fashion Project
And many, many more…
Highlighting the spirit of innovation locally grown Mark D’Andreta (Fastcompany May 2012) and designer Joe Faris (Season Five of Project Runway) will be debuting their Motor City Denim Company, fall jean collection.
The show will be divided up into three segments: Re-Fashion, Re-Fuse, and Rock, Paper, Scissors. Each segment of the fashion show will represent a different avenue of creating innovative & sustainable materials. Who says fashion and sustainability can’t go hand-in-hand?
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, why not have an evening of Green-ovation, Innovation, & Re-Creation? I am so bummed that I won't be able to make this event.
Please send me pictures and let me know how it goes. What a fabulous idea!
You can also rsvp on facebook.
