Fantastically Wonderful Advertisers

As you may, or may not be aware as of the beginning of January I started offering advertising on Wonderful You. It wasn’t something I had really thought about to be honest until a few fellow bloggers contacted me asking when I was going to start!
This little blog, albeit small compared to some of the big bloggers out there is my little hub of happiness and it is such a wonderful feeling that other individuals in the beauty & fashion-sphere appreciate it and want to be a part of it too :D honestly it makes me so happy.

So without further ado, let me introduce to you the absolutely fantastic bloggers that have chosen to steal a spot on my sidebar..

This girl, is frickin’ fantastic and her blog follows suit. Not only does she bring fresh new content to her blog every week, she’s also a makeup artist and graphic designer to boot. From Kim Kardashian tutorials, to blog buttons this girl offers it all. You can expect to be captured for an evening (or three) by her informative how-to guides on the best smoky-eye, how to achieve a messy bun or how to combat spots. Not only is her blog one of go-to beauty favourite’s she is also the loveliest lady and someone I would now consider a friend. It’s amazing how this blogging world brings people together, and I promise if you hop on over with your evening cuppa, you won’t be disappointed. She’s a star in the making.

Charlotte has the most heart-warming blog. That may sound odd but whenever I’m over there I just feel all lovely reading her posts - right at home. It’s predominately based around her latest fashion picks, expect absolutely gorgeous vintage finds (this girl has an eye), and her favourite way to style them – but you can also stumble across the odd beauty haul, discovering her love for new products and her latest lifestyle spills :). Not only does her blog fill me with happiness, she’s one of my favourite people to have a good twitter-thon with. If you don’t know this girl – you should.

Okay – I have a serious envy of this girls make-up collection. She’s constantly reviewing the most amazing blushers, foundations and lipsticks – so if you want to know about a beauty product in detail, this is the place to be. Not only is she representing the best of the beauty bloggers, she’s also started her own youtube channelfeaturing new buys and reviews, you must go and take a peek. Not only am I the green eyed monster when it comes to her beauty knowledge, her OOTD’s that pop up here and there are just TOO cute, and she is a beauty to be hold. Most amazing skin ever? Check. What are you waiting for?

I hope you've enjoyed getting to know these ladies a bit better. I just want to say a massive thank you to them all for having their lovely buttons on my blog, it's been such a pleasure having them here :D

Your Own Brand of Swag

Some people have a sort of general style that they stick to, you know...their aesthetic is somewhat consistent day in and day out. Like maybe minimalist, haute boho, or just straight up glamorous. Ya know what I mean? They’ve got their own brand of swag or something. Anyways. WTF is my style?! I can’t quite pin it down. Does that mean it’s just like, eclectic or...? I feel like to describe someone’s style as ‘eclectic’ is actually cheating. I mean like, when I look up ‘eclectic’ in the thesaurus some of the synonyms we got here are ‘miscellaneous’ or ‘assorted’; which is not necessarily the look I am going for. But still...I can’t put my finger ont it. What is your style? I am honestly curious to know how you would describe your personal style vibez; just cause it’s kinda a fun thing to talk about amongst ourselves. Like when you take a quiz together while reading a magazine with your girlfriends type-a-thing or like, horoscopes or something. Also, even if this is your first glance at me ever in your whole life, please take a crack at describing what you think my style could be and maybe I will adopt it as my own. Maaaaaybe.

50 Random Facts About Me TAG! | Video

I’ve loved catching up on YouTube videos since I’ve been home, and my absolute favourite had to be the ’50 Random Facts About Me TAG’ that’s been floating around. As always, Esteé from EssieButton had me in stitches watching hers and I just couldn’t not give it a whirl.

I tend to be a bit more reserved regarding bits and bobs about me personally, but I thought it might be quite nice to share some of my oddities with you lovely lot. I know I love these sort of things, just because you feel like you get to know the person behind the beauty talk & posey fashion shots a little bit more :). I feel like I’ve made some really lovely friends through this whole blogging world, and I would love some of you to take part so I can get to know you all better too! I've tagged two fellow bloggers I know have YouTube channels :) Zoe of Zoenewlove and Charlotte from Lilmisschickas

It was quite tricky thinking of 50 facts though, I think I went a bit too far with the whole boxer shorts thing….no? ;)

Stella Style

My Grandma gave me my first laptop for my Sweet 16 birthday, during my sophomore year in High School. After making the big decision to retire my middle school screen name of NFashionGal and opting for the more mature xoBiNNYox, I spent hours choosing the perfect color scheme, aligning the fonts just so, and choosing the perfect Rocket Summer lyrics for my AIM profile. At last, my masterpiece was complete. I remember I felt like Lizzie McGuire; my own room, zebra print curtains, leopard print bedding, sparkly photo frames with “BFF” or “SISTERS” occupying every open surface space, framed editorials from Vogue lining the walls, and NOW, my very own laptop! I was living the teenage dream! Naturally, the first website I ever visited on my new laptop was...Style.com. And lemme tell ya, for a fashion obsessed kid in the ‘burbs, I couldn’t believe what a magical place it was! I still haven’t quite gotten over my Style.com obsession; and whenever I’m feeling uninspired I mosey on over and browse through old collections or new, looking for something that will spark my interest. (If you haven’t already check out the “Video” tab. I am SO obsessed.) I was feeling a tad uninspired just the other day and ended up scoping out Stella McCartney’s latest Resort Collection. I had just the A-HA moment that I was looking for; LOVE the fresh pastel color combos with splashes of luxe leopard. Both of which directly inspired my easy ensemble for lunch at the Gypsy Den...again.

Comfort is Key | Outfit Post

If you’ve been reading this little slice of online fashion junk for a while, you may have picked up on the fact that I don’t do tighty mc tighterson dresses very often. I’m just not really all that comfortable in them and spend the majority of my time pulling them down until they’re stretched out of shape! I am far happier to prance around in a loosely fitted number that doesn’t ‘hug’ me too tightly. I think classy casual has pretty much been my dress sense since I left my teens.
Lashes of London is one of my favourite stores and this dress felt like it was made for me. It’s neutral in colour (I don’t really do bold) so is perfect in my eyes. for any time of year. It has sequins, which helps to dress up any outfit and it’s wearable. By that I mean I could throw this on for near enough any occasion – a wedding, a night out, shopping. And that’s why I love it, because it’s totally versatile.
As always, I opted for the more casual approach. Teamed with this rather spiffing Zara hat (£12 in the sale, HOLLA), and my new Urban Outffiters boots it was perfect attire  yesterday for a spot of lunch with Daniel and his Nan :)

P.S it’s totally in the sale for £24, grab it whilst it’s hotttt & I'm pretty sure you can get 25% off items with the code: LASHES25 (you're welcome ;))

Chelsea Says Relax

Ahhh...the Cali life. We just had a full week of 80 degree weather which I filled with trips to the beach, magazines by the pool, hiking along seaside cliffs, and sippin wine by the fire pit. Mother nature always teases us with this little taste of Summer in mid-january. Now we’re back to cloudy skies, rain, ungodly 50 degree temps and a bunch of little chick-a-dees running around town in their Hunter rain boots. As an offering of thanks to the sun gods, I went out decked in my fave new beach cover up that I picked up at a Pile Sale; a sheer button down accented with a scene of life on an island tucked into some far corner of the ocean. I think there are different ways of achieving sex appeal in your look, but ya know what I think is sexiest about this particular ensemble? There’s an ease to it. The relaxed fit of the jeans, the unbuttoned, sheer top (with a peek-a-boo black bra), an understated black hat to cover up the unkempt hair, and a simple strappy sandal. I felt like I was floating through the day, simply swaying and moving wherever the breeze took me...which oddly enough was to the Gyspy Den, school, and work. Maybe next time I rock this look I’ll end up on a deserted island, far far away, with a cocktail, bikini, and a good book. Until then, dressing the part and day dreaming will have to do ;)

My Australia Haul | Zara, Topshop, The Body Shop & more!

I thought you lovely lot might want to see the bits I picked up :) the majority of it is clothes, but there are a few beauty products thrown in there too. Whilst I was in Australia I thought it was appropriate to spend all my spending money on clothes. Apparently, when you're abroad it doesn't matter how much you spend. (Please Note: I am now on a spending ban for the rest of life).
I really enjoyed filming again - it felt like forever! As always - if you have any particular requests for video's please do let me know :)

I'm currently still in bed - and not really sure I'm going to do much else than that today. I'm being a proper lazy bum. Fantastic Mr. Fox and a cup of tea, thank you very much.

When in Australia, Shop | Outfit Post

When I was in Australia I discovered a little shop called General Pants – to be honest when I walked past it that’s exactly what I did, walk past. I mean, the name doesn’t exactly entice you does it? But On the way back home I had a peek through the door and saw this dress. Waaaaaaaaaaaa! I just fell in love.

Dress: General Pants Australia. Belt: H&M. Boots: Urban Outfitters. Glasses: Primark. Bracelet: Jacey Withers. Rings: Australia & Alex Monroe
1 it is floaty and swishy (already bagged and tagged)
2 it has cheetah’s all over it – could it be any better?
3 YES, yes it could – it’s all silky and lovely.

It was pricey at around $70 but I don’t mind paying around £40-£50 for a good quality dress that I absolutely LOVE. And anyway, I was on holiday so money isn’t real then is it? Heheheh. If you want to buy it, they do actually ship to the UK for $25 which is about £10 (ish) and you can grab it here

I shopped rather a lot in Australia, and have just filmed a haul of everything I bought for my YouTube channel – unfortunately, these were the only ‘outfit’ snaps I managed to do whilst I was away, but no doubt I will take a few now I’m home!!

This weekend I will spend with Daniel, mainly relaxing and seeing family. I've not quite caught up with my sleep yet and am still a rather tired bear! Hope you all have a good one, whatever you do :)

If you haven't heard of Independent Fashion Bloggers (IFB), then I feel bad for you. It's like the official "How To Guide" for creating a thriving fashion blog, with articles touching on subjects such as copy writing, SEO tips, social media marketing, fashion blogger photography 101, monetization ($$$), affiliate links...the guts of the blogging world, if you will. The real meat and potatoes kinda stuff. Considering how freaking awesome they are, I was totally thrilled when they picked my blog entry "The Dark Triad" as one of the featured stories in their weekly blog roundup known as "Links a La Mode". (Did you know you can submit YOUR stories?! True story. DO IT.) I'm amongst what is actually a laundry list of stellar blogger babes, so grab a cup o' joe, take a minute to visit each blog on this list, and leave them a little lovin'. They deserve it.

My Dark Under Eye Circles Miracle | Bobbi Brown

I don’t know how many times I’ve whimpered to my friends and family about the dark circles under my eyes. I’ve had them since I was a baby and it’s taken me a long time to come to terms with the fact that it’s just a genetic thing and they’re not going anywhere without some kind of cosmetic procedure which I’m far too petrified to even investigate. (Before you say it – yes I get plenty of sleep, usually over 8 hours a night and drink over 2 litres of water a day).
All the girls on my mum’s side of the family have them and since I can remember we’ve all been searching for the ‘bestest’ way to conceal them. For a long time I’ve used YSL’s touché éclat highlighter (which is amazing) – but I have discovered a combination that literally blows that baby out of the park…
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream & Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque
Let me introduce to you the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream and Corrector. Firstly, how frickin' gorgeous is the packaging?!
You’ve probably seen the Corrector floating around the blogosphere for ages now – it is used for the under eye area and it’s salmony pink tones are perfect for evening out the black and blue shadows that haunt my eyes. If your circles aren’t too bad, I suppose you could use it instead of your concealer however for me, I use it as a base and put my concealer over the top. I’ve heard mixed reviews about it being cakey – nonetheless I was so super excited when I got to the Bobbi Brown counter in Selfridge’s and the assistant was applying it but when I looked in the mirror it literally looked like I’d wiped creamy cake under my eyes, I almost walked off pretty disgusted as I’d heard such great things, but I thought I’d let the assistant offer an explanation. She advised that my under eye area was so de-hydrated that there wasn’t a smooth service for the corrector to sit on, hence the cakey look. I was pretty bummed.
Then she went and made my LIFE and whipped out their hydrating under eye cream to see if that made any difference to the finish. She removed all my makeup and applied the cream directly under the eye. I almost slapped her hand away when she started – as you’ll probably know it’s a big no-no in the beauty world to apply eye cream directly under the eyes. I was quickly corrected and advised that this particular cream was specifically made for application under the eye to hydrate and revitalise. After application (used with a cotton bud, as not to spread germs within the cream) she left it for a few moments to sink in before applying the corrector over the top.
OH EM GEE - literally I nearly cried. I’ve never seen my eyes look like that before, and perhaps it’s more of a personal thing more than something you can see in real life, I don’t know. But what I do know is that I felt amazing for the first time ever. That probably sounds so dramatic, but when you suffer with circles like I do you’ll know where I’m coming from.

So this little combination is now a staple in my daily makeup routine - thank you Bobbi Brown!! I apply the cream, followed by the corrector and then follow on with my foundation etc. etc. (Note: I'm not wearing foundation in the above photograph, just the Bobbi Brown products and my concealer). Thought you might like to see how it shows up on natural skin :)
I’d be really keen to hear if anyone else has tried these two together, and what they thought. It’s quite a pricey daily luxury, but I’m so glad that I’ve found it. If you want to pick some up, you can do so here and here.

Mack Daddy

Seriously though...I think this coat may have belonged to a Pimp. This is like, one majorly BOSS fur coat. It’s real...as if you couldn’t tell. (Don’t worry it’s vintage, honey!) Scored this bad boy for $5. True story. Went for a sort of Cali cool 70’s mack daddy vibe with a perfectly worn vintage tee, denim shorty-shorts, cowboy booties, and a wide brimmed black hat. I know this coat once belonged to a Pimp, because when I wear it I have a little more swag in my step, know what I mean? Big Pimpin, spendin G’s...that kinda stuff. I actually rather enjoy dressing like a Pimp. I added the black wide brimmed hat and walked around feelin like I was the mudda fuggin Queen Bee all day. Ladies is Pimps, too!

Vinatge Coat. Vintage Tee. Thrifted shorts. Thrifted Hat. F21 Booties.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch

Oooh I just couldn't wait to share this little beauty with you! I've always been a powder blush kinda gal - and I haven't really experimented too much with highlighters. If you're like me, or if you simply can't be bothered with applying both - this product is 100% for you. The Rimmel Wake Me Up Radiance Shimmer Touch (mouthful!!) in Radiant Rose. It's pretty much a mix of cream blush and highlighter rolled into one and is so quick and easy.
It's in a dinky little squeezy bottle, which means it's perfect for using on the go or when you're travelling (hello Australia makeup bag).
c/o Semichem
It gives a really subtle warm glow and I'm pretty damn impressed. The colour is quite rich but not at all harsh. I tried taking a few photo's with it on, but I wear it so lightly that the camera couldn't really pick it up. Keep an eye out for my Australia post and you'll be able to see me sporting it in a few of the pictures!

What do you think? Have you tried this out yet? For £4.99 you can't really go wrong eh? :)

Is Man Repelling...Sexy?

How about my new nautical inspired sequin top and suede shorts I scored at Goodwill for $10?! #Winning. So, I saw this quote the other day, on Pinterest of course, and I wanted to share it with you. It said, “Men are attracted to confidence more than tits, ass, or face. There’s nothing sexier than a woman who refuses to give a fuck.” First of all, AMEN. (#AmIRight, ladies? ) But second of all, what does this mean for “Man Repelling”? Is it simply a myth? I have begun to notice that man repelling is actually a very useful tool for weeding out less desirable mates. For instance, one young gentleman recently inquired regarding my sweater, “What is that thing?” I had to explain the whole sort of personal style/self expression thing to him and he just wasn’t quite understanding... Done-Zo. Can’t be having that kinda ‘tude around! Other men, however, will absolutely, 100%, without a doubt, think you are the baddest bitch in the room for wearing even your most man-repelling of ensembles. He’ll be like, “Damn, this girl don’t give a fugg. This girl is fly.” And in a bar of full of bandage skirts, body con dresses, and copious amount of cleavage, you’ll have a subliminal spotlight that shines down on YOU that says, “There is more to me than meets the eye...” And THAT my friends is what sexy is alllllll about ;) (Granted, this is not exactly my most man repelling of ensembles, just something I wanted to get off my chest, ya know?)

Thrifted sequin top. Thrifted Suede shorts. Vintage shoes. (For a grand outfit total of $15...SUCK ON THAT.)

Until next time,
