Monster

Ah, Wal-Mart…the unofficial headquarters of ‘Merica. You know, I actually spent a significant portion of my adolescent youth at Wal-Mart. Well...outside of a Wal-Mart. Like in the back, where everything gets shipped and stored. You know, dumpsters and 18-wheelers and stuff. Don’t worry, I didn’t live there! I swear I have parents who love me; and provide me with food, water, shelter, water, new clothes, new cars, vacations...and stuff. No, Wal Mart was just a place we went to that was...urban? You know, “city-like” amidst the rolling hills of East Orange County? Amidst all the rolling hills, bike trails, parks, super parks, shopping plazas, and “boxes on the hillside”. It all started when Britt got all photographer on our ass and started a little Tumblr blog to show off her skillz. I was like, 14-ish years old and everyday after school Britt would dress me and my BFF Catherine up in these little ensembles and we would get in her little old Saturn named Chauncey and drive down the road to and park it behind Wal-Mart. We transformed into Kate Moss and Erin Wasson...just doin’ our thang. I mean, over time we sorta stopped taking pics; we got old, Wal-Mart became Super Wal-Mart, and yeah stuff happens. Until today, when Britt and I needed to take some good ol’ fashioned bloggy pics and so we mobbed it over to our old stomping grounds…Wal-Mart. It went just perfectly with this destroyed denim skirt, monster sweater, and kitty-cat beanie as well as Britt’s killer ensemble. While we had fun reminiscing today...I decided I am personally just a bigger fan of Target, ya know?

H&M Beanie. F21 "Hello Kitty" sweater. Vintage denim skirt. Theory Booties. TopShop necklace.

Until next time,

Chelsea
