How I Curl my Hair | Tutorial | Video

Hi Ladies! (and gents, if you're reading :)),

So, I had quite a few requests on one of my outfit posts of how I achieve this hairstyle:

I hope you guys found it helpful, I really cannot swear by the Enrapture Totem Styler enough. You can achieve so many looks with it, and in my eyes it's worth every penny :). If you wan't me to film any other kind of tutorial's please let me know!

Karma Chameleon

I am LOVING the oversized silhouette of the season. Which is why I was giddy when I found this colorfully gilded, aztec printed blazer at my local Salvation Army. It LITERALLY has every color of the rainbow, which can be...intimidating, sartorially speaking. The key, of course, was to keep everything else at a minimum. Leather leggings, white loafers, a simple chain link bracelet, and a belt on my head. JK...I don't usually wear a belt on my head. But as you can see, when I do, it. is. awesome. I really don't know what inspired me to wear this contraption on my head. It came to me in a vision while I was dressing and I just went balls to the walls. Experimentation is the name of the game, folks.

I love Emma Stone. And as I was perusing the Spring 2013 collections, I was fantasizing asking myslef, WWEW? What would Emma wear? And so I dragged and dropped some options for her (in case she need MY help getting dressed) and have decided to share them with you! The Burberry and Tom Ford dress are for a more casual occasion, your run-of-the-mill movie premiere or TV appearance, say. But that McQueen and Rodarte dress...those are the big time. In my world, those delicious frocks are in the running for the Oscars. How amazing would she look in ANY of these dresses?! Dearest Emma, the following dresses, for your consideration:

Lady GaGa Perfume | FAME

I love Lady GaGa, I realise she's not to everyone's taste but honestly, what a woman. And her talents don't cease at creating fantastic records, no no. She's been working on a brand new fragrance over the past two years and this is the result:

I'm not usually on the whole hype for celebrity frangrances; I mean, they're popular for something else, not making us smell good right? Well, if you're thinking that with this one, DON'T. It's frickin' amazing.

Firstly the packaging = in LOVE. It's not over the top and extravagant like you'd expect from someone as extrovert as GaGa, but it's definitely different. No your eyes aren't deceiving you, that's black fluid right there. It's the first in the market and may be slightly daunting for some, but fear not. The fluid sprays transparent so there's no staining or looking like you've spilled some black tar down your neck. I absolutely love the gold claw clasp, and it pops off ever so easily.

Secondly the scent. Dear GOD ladies, this is literally sexy times in a bottle. I am head over heels in love and have never sprayed a scent on my arm before and wanted to constantly sniff myself for hours on end haha. It's a fruity, flowery scent (again, something I wasn't expecting from her). And instead of following the usual perfume rules, of exploiting top, middle and base notes the scent is focused on Dark, Sensual and Light accords - which basically means combining single scents together. 
The scents included on the description are: "tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops".
I think the scent is probably targeted to the younger woman. It's fresh and fruity but I'd also say it has quite a musky hint to it, which is something I always look for in a perfume. The staying power is ridiculous, it stays on my skin for years (not literally, I do wash, but y'know what I'm saying). And it smells so expensive and luxurious.

Thirdly the price. In my eyes, it's so affordable. This little bottle of 30ml cost me just over £20 from The Perfume Shop and I think the most expensive bottle (100ml) retails at just over £50. I opted for the smaller bottle, just in case I ended up hating it - which I don't, but I'll definitely be buying the bigger bottle when I run out. BEST SMELL EVER.

Fashion Week Wrap Up

Wow!  I don't know about you, but I'm pooped!  Last week was crazy, but crazy in the best way possible.  I scouted, I shopped, I blogged, I rinsed, I repeated.  I attended the Boutique Crawl and the Art of Fashion and met some fabulous women along the way.

It boggles my mind how much talent there is here in this little city of ours.  It sure made this Jersey Girl proud to call Rochester home.  The events far-exceeded my expectations.  For $20 I was chauffeured from store to store in a limo, given free snacks and booze, handed swag bags, and treated like a celebrity - if that isn't getting bang for your buck I don't know what is!  I'm already excited about next year and hope to take on a more comprehensive role in Fashion Week of Rochester 2013.

Sorry for the lack of photos.  When you give me wine and a credit card I start to lose focus.  And as for the fashion show, well, let's just say my iphone didn't do anyone justice.  Note to self:  buy a camera.
