Arizona Muse

This "top" is actually two vintage scarves haphazardly sewn together to cover the upper half of my body. The front scarf has "Arizona" written across the center, with all kinds of maps and Arizonian Indians shooting bows and arrows. And the back is just...roses. Being the mix master that I am, I paired this with my favorite leopard print coat and bright orange skinny jeans. I think somehow it all just works. Bottomed out with these random Wet Seal booties which actually look just like these Givenchy boots from back in the day.

PS- I swear I will start bringing my camera out and about with me so that all the photos aren't taken in my apartment. Yes that is Kate Moss by Terry Richardson on the wall, surrounded by portraits of Marilyn Monroe, Diane Von Furstenberg gracing the cover of Interview Magazine, and also John Galliano...yea my boyfriend made the mistake of putting me in charge of decorating the place ;)

AsianPacific

Pink is really having a major fashion moment in my life right now. I scored this Asian-Pacific  inspired top at the monthly pile sale at La Bomba in Long Beach. (My favorite day of the month.) Who knew that a top shaped like a half circle would create such dramatic volume? I found these pink Dolce and Gabbana pants at Salvation Army on my birthday last year. I have the BEST thrifting karma ;)

Miu Me

This blouse is printed with portraits of some fierce ladies circa Boardwalk Empire times. Which I love. Plus it's got a ridiculously over sized collar which is very of-the-moment. Paired with a cozy sweater and a pale pink pencil skirt this ensemble is really giving me some Miu Miu vibes. Did you know that Dr. Prada was a communist activist back in the day? Damn girl.

Vintage sweater, blouse, and skirt. INC shoes.

Simply Chic

"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” -Leonardo Da Vinci

Keepin' it simple, sexy, and (somewhat) sophisticated in a white tank, relaxed jeans, red slingbacks and a badass vintage Colt belt from my great grandpa.

Fashion Fail

The other night, Frankie and I left for date night with no particular destination in mind. (The usual.) I was looking foxy in a 70's crocheted maxi dress and my vintage knee length fur coat. (The usual.) As we were cruisin' down 4th Street in LBC I spotted a crowded, hip looking joint and promptly ordered Frankie to park the car. We walked down the street hand in hand, and Frankie waited outside while I runway walked down the long corridor of a restaurant to put in our name. The bearded hipster man put down my name and rudely snarked that it would be over an hour 'til we could get a table. As I sashayed out of the popular eatery I could feel everyone's eyes on me - and not in the usual, "YA THAT CHICK BE ROCKIN' A BAD ASS FUR" kinda way. Lame.

As I walked out to greet Frankie I got the same pretentious stares and flashed him my look of distress. He smiled as he held the menu in his hand and asked, "Babe, did you know that this place is vegan?"

Fashion fail.

Punky in Pink

I hate the idea of of a first post, cause I feel like a newb and that never settles well with me. Alas, everybody's gotta start somewhere. So this is me starting...here.

Denim cutoff's and rocker tees have been done to death, but I thought the pink blazer sweetened up the look and made it a little bit naughty and a little bit nice. It's always fun to dress according to mood ;)

F21 Sunnies. Vintage Blazer. Ross Tee. Royal Cheese shorts. Steve Madden Cowgirl boots.
