Serving up some Cher Horrowitz realness today, no? Fashionably speaking, movies have always inspired me and obvi Clueless has become a cult classic for it’s delicious and unapologetic interpretation of 90’s fashion in the 90210. While the rest of America’s youth were rocking their grungy thrift store flannels and stomping around in Doc Martens, 90210 fashion was all about Rodeo Drive, Calvin Klein, Alaia, Fred Segal, and expensive satin shoes- the very antithesis of the grunge movement that was popular at the time (or so I’ve heard). Of course, as we’ve already discussed here on PMF, Marc Jacobs did attempt to introduce a luxe interpretation of grunge fashion to the 90210 circle, but the collection didn’t perform. I guess it don’t matter how rich you are; why buy a top dollar “knockoff” flannel when you can get the real thing for $3 at any local Salvation Army? Well two can play at that game, rich bitches. Why should I buy top dollar designer when I can get the real thing at any local Salvation army for $3? Behold, a head-to-toe designer ensemble, all purchased at Salvation Army, for a grand total of: $18. PWNAGE.

PS- You know how sometimes you buy a pair of shoes and your like, “OK so these shoes are officially reserved for occasions where a majority of my time will be spent sitting.” Ya that’s totally my new Bottega Veneta shoes. DGAF.
